The new regional council was formed in 2004 and covers the greater Tamworth region which includes the Manilla district previously governed by Manilla Shire. TRC is 100% behind the event and is supporting with organisational assistance, HQ hire and most importantly via the creation of a Section 355 Comittee with a budget of A$118,000.00 to conduct the Town logistics side of the event (Opening Ceremony, Parade, Town Square, Closing ceremony and street party).
